How Loyal Are You?
Are you a true blue friend, or will you leave them stranded at the first sign of a better offer? Take the quiz below to find out!
1) You are supposed to go over to your best friend's house to watch Survivor, then your crush invites you to watch Survivor at his house. What do you do?
- a) You tell him that you already have plans, but maybe some other time?
- b) You invite him over to your friend's house to watch Survivor with the two of you. Two birds with one stone, right? Maybe he could even bring a friend...
- c) You send your friend an email that she's history and you have a better offer. See ya latah!
2) Your friend has a big math test tomorrow, and you have an English paper to write. But your friend sucks at math, and you get all A's. She wants you to help her, but you have your paper to do. What do you do?
- a) Screw your English paper. Friends come first. You're pretty sure you can sweettalk your way out of an "F" if you turn it in a day late.
- b) You agree to help your friend for an hour, and then you must write your paper.
- c) Sorry, but she's on her own. Your work takes priority.
3) You're in love! You've just met this totally hot guy at the vending machine and he asked you out! Whoohoo! Then your best friend pulls you aside and tells you that she's had a crush on him for years, and it will destroy her if you go out with him. What do you do?
- a) Friends come first. He'll have to date someone else. Sniff.
- b) Uh oh. Time for girl talk. Over diet coke and brownies, you explain your feelings for him and ask her to give her blessing.
- c) Hey, she's known him for years. If she hasn't been able to snag him by now, too bad for her. She shouldn't be so selfish as to try to keep you from happiness just because she has some crush that he'll never return. You are so going out on that date.
4) Your friend has this guy she adores. She thinks he likes her, but he's too shy to make a move. So she asks you to have a party at your house while your rents are out of town so she can invite him. You're not allowed to have parties, but she begs and begs. What do you do?
- a) What's a little lie to the rental units? This is your friend's social life that's at stake! Party on!
- b) Here's a better idea. You'll talk to one of his friends for her and get him to notice her that way.
- c) Forget it. A true friend would never ask you to lie to your parents, so obviously, she's no friend of yours.
5) The hottest guy in school, who you've had a crush on for years, approaches you after school (OMG!) when you're on the way to your best friend's house for a girls night. He tells you he's going to be kicked off the football team if he doesn't get his grade in Spanish up. He heard you're good at Spanish, so if you help him study for his test tomorrow, he'll owe you forever. Deal? What do you do?
- a) You were not put on the face of this earth to serve him, not when you have a girls night planned. He can take his chances by himself. You're going to hang with the girls.
- b) Ah...so tempting. A man who admits weakness is so appealing, but you do have plans already. You call your friend and see if you can start the night a little later. Give him a little help tonight, and set up a regular study schedule from now on. If he's serious, he needs to plan ahead! You're a busy girl!
- c) Who are you to turn down a hottie in need? Girls night? What girls night?
6) You and your best friend get an invite from the popular girls to hang out at the mall. But when you get there, you realize that they're planning to do a little shoplifting for fun. You don't want to do it, but your best friend begs you to stay. She's too nervous to go it alone.
- a) She's your best friend, and how much harm can a missing pack of gum be? You're in.
- b) This is so not your scene, but how can you abandon her? You pull her aside and try to talk her out of it. Prison would suck, you know?
- c) Not. Some things cross the line and shoplifting is one of them. You're outta there and she can go enjoy her new friends.
Answers:
Mostly A's: You are a true blue friend! Your friends might love you, but make sure you don't go too far. Sometimes the best friends are the ones who can say No.
Mostly B's: You're loyal, but you also have your own sense of values and your own identity. You've got the right balance, girlfriend!
Mostly C's: You put your own interests first, and that can be a good thing. But don't forget longterm relationships with friends can be more satisfying that a one night stand with a hottie.
